The directory exists to reunite people — never to profile them. Here is exactly what we keep, and why.
What we collect
When you reserve a seat or join the directory, we store your name, email, class year, and whatever else you choose to share — event picks, guests, dietary needs, city. Nothing is gathered silently: every field on our forms is one you filled in yourself.
What we never do
We never sell, rent, or share your details with advertisers or data brokers.
Your email stays hidden in the directory until you answer an introduction.
Chapter updates are opt-in; every email carries a one-click goodbye.
Your rights
Ask for a copy of your record, correct it, hide it from search, or delete it entirely — write to privacy@hawthornalumni.org and we’ll act within fourteen days. Form submissions are stored securely on the society’s platform and visible only to the homecoming team.
